The Natural Process
The reaction our man-made surroundings have when it becomes infused with the natural elements over time is what I consider nature's graffiti. While obtaining my B.F.A. in London, I first became aware of what can come from the worn outdoors. Whether in an alley or on an awkwardly mended fence, beauty can be found. Color blends & texture officially became my obsession. Photographically framing a rusty metal door or a crumbling decrepate wall made exploring the city an advenure all on its own. The images I was compiling made one thing clear, that the ignored and abused little corners of the world make fine art. This is the inspiration for my process and ultimate aesthetic.
